S. in Biology and Pre-Med from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. She attended medical school at Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas, followed by graduation from the 5th Pathway Program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, also in New York. This was followed by three years of training in dermatology and another two years practicing dermatology with a multispecialty group in Long Beach, CA.
