We're excited to announce Dr. Gautham Vellaichamy will be joining Pinnacle Dermatology Lombard! Dr. Vellaichamy enjoys providing compassionate, comprehensive dermatologic care to patients of all ages. His clinical interests include general medical dermatology, dermatopathology, skin cancer detection and treatment, cosmetic treatments, and hair loss. With each patient, Dr. Vellaichamy’s approach is to diagnose the issue, understand what is important to that patient, and utilize diagnostic procedures, evidence-based medicine, and continuity of care to provide personalized treatment to everyone. Dr. Vellaichamy completed his undergraduate education at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, and then earned his MD from Wayne State School of Medicine. He then completed his internship and dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He will complete a year-long dermatopathology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA between summer of 2025 and summer of 2026 prior to returning to Pinnacle. He has presented on and published numerous papers in topics including pigmentary disorders, follicular disorders, photobiology, and in-depth molecular genomics and proteomics. Additionally, he is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, skin of color society, and the American and International societies of dermatopathology. Book below!
