At KIAMO SKIN in Mission Hills, San Diego, the Dermaplane Facial is performed on a dry surface, section by section. Active or inflamed areas are worked around rather than over. The first appointment includes a skin assessment before anything is applied. Dermaplaning clears the surface and improves serum absorption. It does not treat existing marks — that is what a prepared peel series is for. Most corrective plans use both, with dermaplaning between peel appointments to maintain the result. The Dermaplane Facial is $199. Appointments are request-based.
