Diagnosis always starts with an ultrasound to gauge the functioning of the vein before coming up with a solution to the problem. Dr. Rajesh Sam Suri, MD, FACC is a board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon with over 40 years of expertise in vein and arterial surgery. The treatment to be given will be determined by what is diagnosed by the ultrasound; the vein can either be sealed with laser or radiofrequency therapy, sclerotherapy, microphlebectomy, or a non-heat-based medical adhesive method. The vast majority of the treatments are all minimally invasive, outpatient services that are performed under local anesthesia. This will take place entirely at the Fremont clinic, starting from the diagnosis to the actual procedure being performed on the particular vein.
